Believe

Everyday we are given a choice to believe.

We choose to believe that when we turn the key or hit the ignition button our vehicle will start...

flip a switch on the wall and there will be light...

or dial a certain set of numbers on the phone and get connected.

Yet most of us have experienced moments when those things have failed for one reason or another.

Still we do not quit believing.  The car will be fixed, the power will be restored and the call will connect.  We just have to keep on trusting.

This Christmas season may challenge our beliefs due to all that is happening in the world.

Let each of us continue to hold in our hearts the knowledge that in the end good will trump evil, joy will replace sorrow and love will overcome hate.

On a lighter note I believe that coffee always tastes better with a cookie or two.  How about you?

Have a blessed week.

                                                                                  Hugs  Debbie

"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.  Do you believe this?"  John 11:25-26

    Yes!

"...whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

    I do.

  2. Yes, this Christmas will be different but the most important aspect about Christmas should not change no matter how 'different' this Christmas is going to be. We may not have parties or huge gatherings to attend and we will have to tone down the celebrations a bit but Christmas cannot be cancelled if we hold it close to our heart.

  3. Beautiful post, Debbie. Faith is there no matter what a person has to endure. And yes, I agree, coffee with cookies is good.
    Have a blessed holiday

  4. This is such a beautiful post, Debbie, and one that I really needed to hear tonight. Is that a journal with the word Believe? - it's lovely and I often write in a journal, so that's why I ask. Yes, I think coffee tastes better with a cookie or two.....or three. ; )

  5. Some things are easier to believe in than others, but our hearts need to trust. I am trusting that things in life will work out the way God plans, not necessarily the way we want. This is the season for faith and trust. I definitely believe that coffee tastes better with a cookie or two. I haven't done any baking for Christmas yet. Maybe I need to remedy that. Have a wonderful week, Debbie!

  8. I have to hold on to “believing” kindness, love, compassion, truth and peace are still around us. This meaningful biblical time of year has arrived just in time.
A cuppa is much better with a cookie made with love.

  12. I found some maple cream cookies and they do make my coffee taste better! ha ha. Hope you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and will spend a happy Christmas even if not together - we will certainly all remember 2020 but I’m looking forward to it being gone now and time for 2021 to bring in good things for us all.
