Brief Visit

Autumn' s visit was brief... two weeks late when it arrived.  Gone before we could catch our breath.

It did not give us the usual vivid colors that we hope to see.  Many of the trees lost their leaves before turning.

(hubby's & my shadows)
What it lacked in vibrant foliage though was made up by dramatic skies.

There was even a lovely rainbow to remind us that some things do remain the same.

Hope all of you are having a beautiful week.   Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.   I am mending and even hobbling about!

God Bless

Debbie

  5. Beautiful photos
Autumn did feel shorter than usual. The foliage colors, though, in Vermont lasted longer than usual.

  6. It is good that you can get out and about some before the weather gets worse. Even though there isn't as much colors it looks spectacular all around. You can't deny fall or the promise of winter.

  9. Hi, Debbie! So glad to hear the news about you mending. I hope the rest of the time will only show you greater mobility and increased independence! Your photos are, as ever, beautiful. We have jumped right into a wintery (for Arizona) feel as temps the last two days have been close to freezing at night. Days are in the 60s to low 70s.
Hope your week is a good one!

  11. Good to hear that you are doing better. Those skies look gorgeous. I have really not been taking photos lately due to a mixture of tiredness and laziness. It also seems like there isn't much to take photos of at the moment.

  14. I love that photo of the dramatic sky! We had a little bit of color but most of the leaves either fell off quickly or turned that dull brown. It was not a spectacular show this year. Glad to hear you are mending and getting around. Have a great week.

  15. Wow! I hope you had your waterproofs. It looks like it wasn't far off pouring down but what a stunning view. Glad you are mending quickly though I guess for you it doesn't feel very quick. Best wishes.

    Gros bisous

  18. Debbie, these are just beautiful scenes...More suble and soft than what we usually think of as autumn. Your country is lovely, as experienced by you...
