that my little friend will be finding a warmer spot to huddle...
gathering wildflowers will be exchanged for finding the perfect fallen leaves...
and there will be more time spent in the studio.
By the way I think Shelby doesn't need a reminder. She is certainly prepared for those cooler nights and shorter days.
Hope all of you are getting ready too.
Many Hugs!
Debbie
That is definitely Shelby's spot. It is changing fast; saw my first leaves turning today. Love your painting.
ReplyDeleteYou're right Debbie! The cooler nights are upon us already and my Cali is just like your Shelby finding her warm place !!! Enjoy the rest of the evening!!!! Hugs!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all your photos, Debbie, and I love cooler nights! Homemade chicken soup and hot chocolate are my comforts, and so is my cat, Romeo! He is also enjoying the cooler nights as well. I am looking forward to seeing more of your art, I admire your talent! Warm hugs and much love to you. :)

ReplyDeleteI need to leave space in our airing cupboard for our cats. Sometimes I find all four of them in there in the winter! I have made houses for our Hedgehogs to hibernate in. Darker evenings more time for crafting. Your paintings are beautiful Debbie. Marion x

ReplyDeleteThe frog looks like he is enjoying himself...as is Shelby. Beautiful painting Debbie! You are so intricate with your pen work, love the delicate colors!
ReplyDeleteYay Shelby! She does quite a neat pose.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the studio!
Always love to see your art----so beautiful...by the way-I LOVE your couch-or should I say Shelby's couch??!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are all ready for winter. Your cards are very beautiful. I sense you must have a very peaceful feeling while you are painting them.
ReplyDeleteThere is something lovely in every season. I love how your dog is so happily at home and ready for cooler temps!
ReplyDeleteThose little paintings are beautiful, Debbie! Beautiful photos too!
ReplyDeleteYes, I can't wait. It was cool last week but today it got very hot again - way too hot for October.
ReplyDeleteI am also thinking to bring inside some of my potted plants that are now standing outside, it's also becoming cold in our place. I love the green frog, I'm sure he will find a warm place for himself. Your paintings are beautiful, and I can smell the fragrance of those yellow flowers. Shelbys must be enjoying his warm place. Thank you for your beautiful post. God bless.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, autumn brings some nice changes. As much as I love summer, I do enjoy seeing the trees change color and feel the crispness in the air. Love the painting of the flower!!! Enjoy, my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie, I am ready. The shorter days are here, but summer refuses to exit. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Bonnie
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! I can't help noticing all those changes already. At 6.30 pm, it's already dark and same thing when I get up in the morning.I'm gonna have to get used to this!...Prune jams are already done, same thing with ground cherries. Now it's time for beets! Quite busy here now that that famous Challenge is over. I find your aquarellas really nice and I'm glad you're planning on doing more. Take care, hugs 🌺
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie
ReplyDeleteThis time of year is very confusing it still feels almost like summer with the lovely weather we are having and yet it takes ages to get light in the morning and the air is chill. I still have pots of geraniums flowering profusely and have been sitting out in the sun. It will be a shock to the system when the cold weather returns - usually I look forward to the rest from garden chores but this year I am reluctant to retreat indoors even though it is inevitable.
I love that line and wash drawing - quite beautiful :)
Beautiful photos - beautiful artwork! Thank you, Debbie, for the peek into your lovely world.

Your pen and ink works are great, Debbie! That's one of my favorite mediums. Gorgeous colors, soft and delicate. Love them! We are so happy the 100+ days are gone. It was even necessary to use a blanket in bed last night - unheard of for us in the summer! Your photos are thoughtful and perfect for the change in seasons. Have a fantastic week!!
ReplyDeleteShelby definitely seems to be enjoying the indoor life LOL ! Your watercolor is truly beautiful, so delicate and romantic , love it !
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteCats, dogs and frogs all know what to do when it gets colder!
Beautiful cards! Definitely time to make and enjoy more of those.
A lovely post with lots of goodness. Thank you!
Libby
Oh Shelby, you are so funny! Some days I want to curl up on the couch and just stay there too! Nice to see a bit of your paintings and garden... I'm sure that little frog will be hibernating soon.
