Mr. Groundhog |
Look who found himself up a tree.

Madam Butterfly decided to swing by for a visit.
These sweet scented blooms were possibly the reason for her call.
That rhubarb from the previous post...
well it ended up in a delicious dessert. Naturally all calories were removed!

Lastly a bit more painting was done...not finished yet but making progress.
We are so glad you stopped to check in on our week's happenings.
Hope you are smiling!

Oh my Debbie, that groundhog is so cute! Yes, I certainly am smiling.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have been a busy lady. Enjoy your day!
So very lovely Deb .. the Rhubarb pie -- I haven't had one in years and years --- super job!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust had my first taste of rhubarb the other day in a muffin. I would much rather taste it in that crumble. Love the pics. Thought that was a beaver in the tree.
ReplyDeleteAdorable photo!
ReplyDeleteI thought at first the groundhog is a koala bear, and y'all are in Australia on vacation. Prayers for your Australia vacation. :)
Debbie, I love all your photos and the groundhog is adorable! This is the first time I have ever seen one on a tree! Thank you so much for sharing and sending you warm hugs and much love.
ReplyDeleteThat groundhog is so cute. He looks like a squirrel. Do they normally climb up trees or did someone just scare him?
ReplyDeleteHaha, Schindler looks very pleased! :) I love your paintings!
ReplyDeleteOh YES...I am smiling. It made my day seeing Schindler on patrol!
ReplyDeleteInstinct is a wonderful thing.
I wonder how long did Mr Groundhog had to stay up there before you took mercy on him?
Love your beautiful painting. I can see how you are really developing the background - very striking.
I love your cards Debbie, just beautiful! And your dog seem quite pleased to me... He's the culprit , I'm sure. :) Have a pleasant week.
ReplyDeleteHere we have a new family of squirrels eating litterally my neighbour's shed and the rhubard is almost ready for one of my favorite dessert, a rhubarb dowdy! Life is good, we are grateful! Take care, Hugs
From your photos I suggest the name be changed to 'treehog'. Lovely photos and beautiful paintings.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of what you have seen this week. Your paintings look great. I like the abstracted looking backgrounds. That seems different for you! Have a wonderful week!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb,
ReplyDeleteYour works-in-progress are coming along so well. And I LOVE the photo of the treed groundhog - had no idea they did trees :)
My old computer is slowly giving up on all functions. I can no longer do blog posts, so I will be out of the loop for a few months till I can get a new one. I'll try to keep up as best I can ...
Kathryn
I love your work in progress Debbie!!! And the groundhog is beautiful...such a clear photo of him!!
ReplyDeleteI love rhubarb pie--and you'll have to share your process for removing all the calories :)! Cute groundhog--I didn't know they could climb. I guess when you HAVE to do something, you find a way to do it.
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteYou sure had a bunch of wonderful visitors. I have never seen a groundhog before so that was a treat. And could you please FedEx some of the rhubarb crisp to CA? That would be great!
Beautiful paintings. Looks like you are enjoying yourself!
Take care and have a good week,
Libby
Thank you, Debbie! What fun to have these visitors! Your paintings are just beautiful even at this early point. I bet you're never at a lack for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos and love how that painting is coming on!
ReplyDeleteDearest Debbie-blogging is a good thing-we became friends that way! I will still check in on what you are up to. And we can still email each other! Much love to you-and I love the photos!
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie, you're a soooo lovely lady! What gorgeous photos and nice posts that make us happy. Thank you for sharing such wonderful posts. God bless you, too.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, Sadami
Your paintings are looking beautiful! I wish I could have some dessert! Love your photos, I hope you are having a great week! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteLove your paintings, love rhubarb and love your sweet Shindler! Groundhogs are so unusual, we used to have one living here years ago until the raccoons chased him out of his den. I had no idea they could climb that high in a tree, but guess if some one is chasing you -you can! LOL, poor guy!
