Daily life of a Country Artist
So glad you were able to enjoy some nice weather, its been beautiful here as well but it changes tomorrow. It looks like shelby and sarge are relaxed and enjoying the day. and what a beautiful wip that is with the last of summers beauty :)
If I didn't know better, I'd think we were living in the same place, our weather was just like yours, Mr France and I were outside sorting out what plants I could save from the hanging baskets for next year, I hated having to cut back the Fuchsias which still had lots of buds nearly ready to open, but it' needs to be done., Today was a visit to see the specialist, all was well, but I was not happy as it was a beautiful warm sunny day, and I wanted to be out in the garden to do more again today, maybe it was good to slow me down. But it looks like rain is coming to us.tomorrow. Oh well I can always paint. Love the photo of your Marguerite.painting in progress..
Indian summer, here, is "Saint Martin summer". San Martino was yesterday, but... we've had rain and cold, only.Maybe our indian summer was last weekend, so sweet and warm.Or the summer of San Martino will be next? I love your pictures and your watercolor in progress.Happy days in your beautiful hills .Hugs, Rita.
I think I missed our Indian Summer day but I am sure it had to be as pleasant as yours. It looks as if it inspired you to paint. I need something to inspire me... Your dogs look happy in the sunny day...but being shepherds they will probably also enjoy the Winter weather to come.
Good evening Debbie,What a beautiful Indian summer. I love the photos, especially the one with Sarge and Shelby.. They are such beautiful companions.blessings,Penny

Lovely photos. I always like seeing Sarge and Shelby hanging out with you. The warm weather has been most welcome here in Vermont as well.
Love your photographs, what a gorgeous place you live in..... your painting looks good.
What a beautiful setting! Nothing beats an unexpected gift right? Lucky girl:)
Hi Debbie, thank you so much for sharing your lovely photos. Looking out of my window I can see nothing but grey sky and torrential rain, how nice to call in and share your little bit of sunshine. Have a wonderful day, Barbara x
What an exquisite and precious [lasting so briefly] day! I am glad you and the boys were out there, making the most of it.Wish you a wonderful day, Debbie!Kathryn XX
Glad you're having such nice weather. Enjoy it,
I love the softness of your painting. We had a little touch of Indian Summer too. I was able to paint outside my car and even without a jacket on Monday. Of course today I'm bundled up again and they are including the "S" word in the weather forecast for tonight. I think they are wrong but they are saying a possibility. Enjoy!!!
Wow - if it wasn't for the bare trees it looks exactly like summer. Glad you made the most of it.
We have to enjoy Indian summer when we can! Beautiful photos!!!
A wonderful visit that you surely knew how to enjoy :-) So beautiful your watercolor , looking forward to seeing the finished piece. xx
Isn't that last little surge from Mother Nature the best. Here is Southern California every time we think that fall is here with cooler weather then it heats up again for a week or so. Your photographs are charming and I like your light touch on your watercolors.
Beautiful post Debbie. What are those beautiful red bushes? We do not have them here. Great seeing the dogs and ending with your beautiful painting was the icing on the cake. Enjoy a blessed week
Your wip is off to a beautiful start Debbie! When you get a day like this in autumn it seems extra special. I love your photos! Have a wonderful weekend!
Dearest Debbie Nolan! HELLO! Your Indian Summer sounds pretty much like ours...such a delight in those October days of elongated shadows but under a canopy of summer warmth and fall colors..such a juxtaposition of emotions! And then we get wholloped with SNOW! Yep, we now have a thin layer of snow but blasting cold....oh well, that's beautiful Minnesota for ya! Your sweet canine companions look as if they are really enjoying the outdoors!Thank you so much Debbie for coming over to visit. May the rest of the month hold many possibilities through your imagination! Anita
Gorgeous day indeed, Debbie. So glad you were able to get out and enjoy it. Me? Just thankful for friends like you who continue to lift me in prayer. It is so needed.
Hermosas fotos que reflejan un lugar tranquilo y apacible, las flores en acuarelas estan realizadas muy delicadamente. Lindo fin de semana!!! Abrazos!!!
Gorgeous painting, Debbie! Autumn has truly arrived here in Holland: rain, wind and cold outside. But cosy and warm inside. :)
