They came slowly this year. Nonetheless they have started to arrive.
There was even a blossom or two to sniff.
A beautiful blue sky was so nice to see. The honking geese could be heard overhead. The peepers were even letting us know they were awake. When they start to sing I know spring has finally come.
I know how exciting seeing signs of spring can , here in Australia we have our signs of Autumn happening right now. I love all seasons but am always ready to move to the next.
ReplyDeleteYes, the signs of spring are taking their time to appear here too. Nice photos. Lovely painting of the bird on the branch. Nice!!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteYes, finally spring has come. Also in this part of Europe with the sun shining and the crocuses can now be seen along the streets. Your little bird is very lovely. Enjoy the spring and God bless.
Lovely painting, Debbie...
ReplyDeleteThe photos are nice too. We are having a sunny day-and hopefully will hear peepers soon!
Love, Debra
Hi Debbie, we are having a lot of rain. I guess that is spring weather but I would love some sunny days too to enjoy the outdoors. I love your pictures and your watercolor is precious.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, it's wonderful seeing the first signs of spring and the birds too, I love the sounds of the spring birds.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty painting of the bird. Enjoy your nice weather, hopefully it's here to stay :)
I'm seeing plenty of signs but soon the sun will get too hot and many of them will disappear :(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of early spring. I like the way you put together photos to tell a story, and use some of your artwork with them. Your little bird is so sweet. I like the bare branches on the trees... your post reminds me that I should get out there and take some reference photos of my own before they get full of leaves!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweetness peeping through! And what a breathtaking expanse of sky! Your painting is just lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI love the slow awakening of Spring...it is exciting...to see each new flower shoot up from the ground...buds on the tree...little birds like the one in your painting that greet the day with happiness. You have captured it in your ph0to's...the slow awakening. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie Your photos are wonderful and your painting is beautiful. Yes the bobcat is back along with the bears. We don't have moose here but we do have Elk and they are huge. I have what we call our 19 resident elk. Makes gardening rather hard but we try. We have had a cougar or two but not lately. We try to take precautions and never let Teddy out without an escort. Ah life in the woods. We recently saw an albino deer, so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful watercolor at the end, Debbie. I've still not seen any flowers or buds anywhere but we've been getting weather in the 50's and even into the 60's (low) a couple of days this week so I suspect we're getting close and we'll see them soon. Still below freezing at night though so maybe not just yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing some spring into our lives Debbie. Seems as though spring has forgotten us this year. Though the flowers are out and the birds are doing their business, it is all happening with bitterly cold winds. Nature can be so harsh sometimes. Love the piccies and paintings as always. You are a very talented lady Debbie. Keep warm!!!
ReplyDeleteDebbie your blog is always so refreshing and warm. An oasis in a whirlwind when I need it. my love to you,Diana
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I'm so glad spring is finally appearing for you. I love the painting of the little bird, she (he?) has such a hopeful look about her.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria
Oh I am so happy, I thought maybe Spring wasn't coming this year! Love your birdie!
ReplyDeleteWe are all waiting so long for spring. We are, apparently, 6 weeks behind! (UK)
ReplyDeletegood to see your spring things, and such pleasant helpers. Lovely painting of the wee bird, and the pages in your garden journal too :-)
