These lovely pink hydrangeas were a "just because I love you" gift. Something to chase away the last of winter's chill. May have to get my brushes out and paint a few of the blossoms.
Shelby our new baby is doing well. Growing like a bad weed.
We are working every day with the lead.
Not a lot of time in the studio but did manage this quick sketch .
Used a bit of pen an ink, watercolor and watercolor pencil on stonehenge. I like this paper. It takes watercolor washes...has a nice texture for colored pencil, graphite and pen and ink.
Well that's all my happenings. Hope yours are good. Stop back soon.
God Bless!
Beautiful painting! Your puppy is so cute! we have a collie.
ReplyDeleteOh, you've got a new pup too! Puppies are so wonderful, aren't they! We have two to train and so far, the biggest problem I am having is that they like to "garden". The painting is lovely, you are so good with birds... mine always look so "unnatural".
ReplyDelete'Just because I love you' presents are the very best kind! Shelby is so adorable, she makes me miss having a puppy.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue jay sketch and I can't wait to see your painting of the hydrangeas!
Blessings, Victoria
Shelby is adorable! Oh to be as slim as you! Something went awry when my days numbered 43 years. Sigh...Love the watercolor and feather whimsy.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful entry to spring!! LOVE the colors and the joy in this!
ReplyDeleteGood Mornin" Debbie, such a sweet pup. They are like children, so fun and cute while tiny but they emerge in the terrible twos all to soon with their own brand of puppy chaos....LOL. It is fun though, I must admit. A puppy can brighten anyone's day. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie. Lucky you to have been given some Spring. Hope you will plant it somewhere. Shelby is looking a mighty fine and handsome young pup there sitting so obediently. Your painting is gorgeous as always especially with that wonderful Blue Jay. Take care xx
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you and the pup! He looks happy! I LOVE that painting! Very well done....
ReplyDeleteLove ya!
The puppy is getting so big! Those hydrangeas are such a beautiful color it would be hard not to paint them. Nice painting...good colors on the bird and I like the spluttery look.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Mom you have! Beautiful flowers
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting, cute little pup and wonderful Mom! It looks like you had a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI love those pink hydrangeas, how sweet of your mom and if you do a painting of them I hope we all get to see...I love the bluejay painting and Shelby looks just adorable.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring! it's right around the corner
What a blessing from your mother, beautiful and colorful hydrangeas to energize your day. And Shelby seems doing fine and bigger. Really a blessed day. Ah your sketch is also beautiful. God bless
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas. They are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great painting you managed to fit into your busy day dog training with the lead, it takes time. I used to have 3 Labradors. The 1st had a will of her own the 2nd never needed to be on lead, always by my side, and the 3rd would NOT go on a lead, thankfully we had a lot of land so we never needed to put her on a lead. What a lovely thought from your Mum, to bring you flowers as a plant, then after you've painted it you will be able to plant it in your garden when the weather gets warmer. Enjoy the coming w/end
