I find great contentment in the arrival of the autumn season. It generally brings
mornings that are cool and crisp - afternoons warm and sunny...
clear blue skies...
small yellow moths that visit the meadows...
wild asters that grow along the fence rows and dot the countryside...
and a pleasant place to sit awhile soaking up God's beautiful gift called autumn!
Have a blessed week friends.
Hugs
Debbie

I love the Scripture verse, dear Debbie! Your photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think I tend to dread what comes after too much and fail to fully enjoy autumn
ReplyDeleteThe wildflower progression as the seasons progress is a joy to experience. The asters are still lovely here this time of year! Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Autumn, Debbie, and your beautiful photos capture the essence of this season. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI love that you find contentment in autumn, I struggle to see behind the rains and the shortening of the days. But you are right, the flowers and the little yellow moth are beautiful! Enjoy the autumn sun ! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that you appreciate the Autumn season so much, Debbie. I love it as well. It's getting cold here in the mountains of northern California, and I have my heater on at times throughout the day. I love that last photo of the chair. It's delightful, and I can just see you sitting there in the afternoon sun reading a good book or just being still for a while. It's a good thing to do.
ReplyDeleteHave a sweet October week, Debbie.

I can feel your contentment with your life and your bible readings.
ReplyDeleteDo you like to sit out in the sun? Do you put a shade over you? Just wondering.
Happy autumn. We are still hot and dry, so I'm enjoying through your thoughts. :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post, Debbie — your words capture autumn’s peace so beautifully. 🍂 The way you describe the light, the moths, and the quiet joy of simply sitting and taking it all in feels like a gentle prayer of gratitude. Wishing you a blessed week too!
