Whispers

September whispers farewell this week.  The month seemed to fly by on the wings of a bird.

The hummers said goodbye the second week.  I left the feeders up for travelers farther north who might need a bit of sustenance on their way south.

We finally received some much needed rain last week.  Three wonderful inches.  My mums were very happy!

The sunsets have been breathtaking.  Hubby and I have enjoyed them so.  It is lovely to watch the sun go down and hear the crickets song as a day comes to a close.

I am certainly going to be a bit sad to see September go.

How about you?

Have a blessed coming week.   Hope to see you in October.

Hugs

Debbie

  6. Yes, I am sorry to see September pass, but October has always been a pleasant month at the end of the year. Your photos of the overcast days are mysterious and pretty. And your mums are thriving from the rain you received. I hope you have wonderful October days, Debbie, filled with many good things in between.

  7. To tell you the truth - I didn't think September would end - lol - probably because of Mackenzie - seemed forever. Still summer here too. You are a bit ahead of us. I loved your flowers and that you got 3 inches of rain. How you listen to the crickets. The gorgeous sunsets. Here's to October!

  9. It is strange that another month is coming to a close. I'm glad to hear that you received some much needed rain. We didn't get much recently. The new month will find me away for a bit, but I will continue to post. Enjoy the week!

  11. I love how your words make me feel like I’m right there with you, watching the sunsets and listening to the crickets. Did you notice any particularly striking colors in the sky last week?

  12. It is hard to believe we are in October, my head is still in June and I keep wondering why I am reaching for another layer to put on. I will lift my spirits with soup making. I am glad you have your much needed rain, we have a storm brewing in time for the weekend and will get a drenching too. Best wishes for a cosy and creative start to October.
