Keeping warm!

At this time of the year my dreams keep me warm.    The snow may pile up at the back door...temperatures may plummet to below zero...gusty winds may howl.   Who cares!   When one is dreaming of blue robin's eggs, fragrant blossoms and little hummers there is no room for the cold.

Something else is keeping away winter's draft.  This lovely book by  Jeri Landers  arrived in the mail yesterday.  My heart was immediately warmed.   Each page is filled with the most beautiful art.  The story is the sweetest tale.   Jeri's talent is amazing.   If you have not had the opportunity to visit her at Hopalong Hollow you are missing a truly heartwarming experience.

Thank you for letting me share some things that are chasing away my winter's chill.   What is keeping you warm these wintry days?   Take care and God Bless!

P.S.  Look who else is staying warm.
Scooter!!

  8. Such gorgeous art you do, Debbie. So beautiful. Love the book cover too; as you said, the art looks gorgeous. Glad Scooter figured out how to stay warm too. Me? I love winter and the external chill doesn't bother me at all. The internal one is the one I'm struggling with right now.

  10. Always a pleasure to look through your sketchbook Debbie! As you know, I'm keeping warm too with the Challenge of the month of Leslie Saeta. I'm rushing a lot and hoping to get to the end of the month in one piece only. :) Happy weekend to you Debbie!

  11. Glad you are staying warm since it is so frigid out. Glad your dreams works some magic. Love the sketches. It is so sunny this morning but much too cold! I did get bundled up yesterday and went out to take some photos of the snow. I made sure I was only out for s short time and then would rush back to the car. lol Stay toasty!

  13. I love your sketches and the painting of the nest is beautiful, so inspiring Debbie. The book looks adorable and so does Scooter sitting on the microwave. It's so so cold but it sounds like you have found a cozy way to spend these cold days.

  14. Debbie, You got your book, Good! I love looking at your sketch books, they are so beautiful .Mine are so messy, I would never show them to a living soul. I am more of a scribbler and impatient to get down to the intense drawing on my permanent page. But your sketches are true works of art in themselves.

  17. These sketches in your book are gorgeous! You have the right idea - rather than whine (which I have been doing) about the cold and snow and cold and snow...think spring and picture it and maybe even draw or paint it. And that photo of Scooter - what a hoot! Glad he's on top of the microwave and not inside, trying to keep warm! ha ha
