Season's Greetings

It is the time of the year to start to receive those lovely season's greetings.   Already the mail has brought sweet sentiments.  There is one that has come all the way from England.  What a pleasure it is to open the mail box and find notes from folks near and far.

Some of the cards will be handmade... others will hold notes and letters...and a few will have photos enclosed.    All our special.
At this busy time of the year it is nice to know that someone is thinking of you and takes time to tell you so.

Hope everyone will find their mail box filled with Season's Greetings today.  God Bless!

  4. Yes, it is lovely to receive the Christmas mail full of greetings and news of distant friends. I am lazy and paint a card and then print it off myself, as I have too many friends to paint then one each, and I would run out of ideas. I hope you get many more ....

  10. I love to receive cards from near and far in the mail. Alas, this year all I have received are junky adverts and 'bargain' magazines.

  11. I was talking about cards the other day and someone said, "Do people still send Christmas cards?" I'm glad that people still do - an email is just not the same at all!

  12. Receiving a post card is just so different from receiving greetings by mail , and if someone painted a card specially for you ...awesome ! Have a nice day my friend.

  13. Whilst I don't hand paint each card I do spend time making a special Christmas painting and then have the cards printed. I enjoy filling them with a personal message. I have heard it said too many times this year - it is too expensive to still send cards. I am so pleased I still have many friends and family who do - I love receiving and sending them. Seasons greetings to you Debbie

  15. I still send cards and I hand write them too. Old fashioned I guess! I don't get as many as I used to, which is a shame, I am starting to keep them all, someday they will be considered vintage and rare! Have a nice weekend Debbie, stay warm ~ Diane

  16. Hi Debbie. I have been hand painting little cards for close friends and family this year. There is nothing nicer than receiving a handmade present in my view. Shows the love and thought that goes into it perhaps. Just in case I don't pop back before Christmas. Have a wonderful time and may 2014 bring you all you wish for. Take care dear long distance friend. xx

  17. I am so behind this year and am looking forward to a day for creating. I have made my cards for over 40 years....I may be a bit late this year. Happy holidays dear friend. Teddy is having good days and then some days where things are a bit foggy. But he is enjoying his days with no pain. I am so blessed that he is still with me.

  18. I just mailed my cards today. It seems every year I get them out a little later than the previous year...pretty soon I'll be mailing them after New Year's if I don't watch it! Beautiful sketch of cherries, and I love your floral arrangement.

    Blessings,

    Victoria
