A charming symbol of the past!

Manfull's Orchard and Farm market is a  charming symbol of the past that continues to thrive in the present.  It has been owned by the same family for over 100 years.

Located in the small village of Augusta, Ohio it welcomes locals as well as visitors.   Here neighbors and friends gather to chat and catch up on the latest news.

In autumn the market is a feast for the eyes.  Large pumpkins, gourds, and potted mums line the front of the building.    Inside lovely handmade furniture and crafts are showcased waiting for someone to take them home.

There is a great variety of apples from which to choose.    Yellow delicious is always a favorite.

Melrose will make a great sauce.

In this changing world it is pleasant to know some places withstand the test of time.
So glad I could share the legacy of this special market.
Hope you enjoyed your vist.

  1. It's a very pretty place - I would love to shop there. it's like something right out of Country Living Magazine - let's hope there will always be a place for these lovely markets to survive and flourish and that our own consumerism doesn't push them out.

  2. That homemade furniture and vintage pieces do make me drool. I so love places like this. It would be so cool to be a fly on the wall as the locals gather to chat. I love hearing about farm issues (there was a place we used to go to that always had the old farmers gathered for breakfast and you could hear them talking about different issues).

  3. Hello Debbie,
I enjoyed seeing those pumpkins, flowers, apples, etc. It must be really a very enjoyable scene as you see those in reality. What a nice neighborhood is that. I wish we have that near our house. Anyway, thank you for sharing those photos and may God bless you always. Greetings!

  6. Applesauce! I could add it to almost everything. Surprisingly, it's not bad on coffee ice cream.

    Great pictures, Debbie
