We at Harmony Hills are beginning to enjoy those wonderful fall happenings.
Lovely colors are starting to make a show.
The hills seem to be changing before our very eyes.
Indoors some simple homey foods are starting to cook.
Nothing like a wonderful chuck roast with a few carrots, potatoes, celery, onion and a clove of garlic simmering to make one's appetite come alive.
Then to satisfy that sweet tooth how about a few oatmeal raisin cookies with a nice tall glass of milk. ( Hmm no wonder my jeans are getting a bit tighter !)
Well best get back outdoors and enjoy the last lovely flowers. They seem to be holding on before that final frost takes them away.
So glad you stopped to visit and catch up on all the fall happenings.
Hope you will share some of yours too.
Many Hugs!
Debbie

Hurricane Matthew
Thinking of those who have suffered great loss due to hurricane Matthew.
Hope you would join me tonight in lifting up prayers and thoughts for the folks who have lost loved ones, their homes and places of business.
Thank you & God Bless

Cooler Nights and Shorter Days
Those cooler nights and shorter days are reminding me the annuals will soon need to be brought indoors....
that my little friend will be finding a warmer spot to huddle...
gathering wildflowers will be exchanged for finding the perfect fallen leaves...
and there will be more time spent in the studio.
By the way I think Shelby doesn't need a reminder. She is certainly prepared for those cooler nights and shorter days.
Hope all of you are getting ready too.
Many Hugs!

Misty Morning
MISTY MORNING - by JULIE FORD OLIVER |
A photo taken close to my home inspired this gorgeous painting. Julie had seen it on one of my previous posts and asked if she could paint it.
To say the least she did a gorgeous job. What an amazing work of art. The cross in the sky says it all "keep Looking Up".
God Bless You friend.
May everyone have a wonderful week.

Summer's End
Here are a few photos to celebrate Summer's end.
Heavenly skies...
Season's bounty...
Late bloomers....
Afternoon sunshine on a friend
or
two.
God Bless and have a great week.

Changes
September has brought changes.
There are signs that autumn is on its way.
There are more and more leaves underfoot.
Acorns have began falling. Soon the squirrels and chipmunks will be busy gathering winter's fare.
These are all subtle and slow changes serving to remind us that seasons come and seasons go. We know this is to be expected.
It is the unexpected changes that leave us reeling. We know with certainty that life will never be quite the same.
Such was 9/11 fifteen years ago. Today I am remembering all those ordinary folks who didn't see the changes coming but in a terrible moment's time became extraordinary heroes! Please join me in "looking up" ! Have a blessed week.
Hugs Debbie

Welcome September
Look what appeared to welcome September. Yes a double rainbow!
With summer being so dry we had not seen this lovely sight for quite some time.
It always reminds me of God's special promise found in Genesis 9.
"I have set my rainbow in the clouds
and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind.
Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life." vs. 13-15.
May everyone have a blessed start to September.
Hugs Debbie
P.S. Don't forget to "look up" you just might see a rainbow too.

Looking Back
Sometime it is fun to take a stroll down memory lane and look back. This photo of the blue bird was taken several years ago. They are such ...
