Windy & Stormy

Finally after windy and stormy weather we are enjoying a lovely Sunday of blue skies.  April has certainly delivered several inches of rain and gusty winds.  In fact as I am typing this post we are once again seeing the wind picking back up and are hearing more storms are a possibility tonight.  For now though the sun is shining and even though it is quite breezy what a delight to be outdoors without an umbrella and rain coat.

Lets take a walk together.  Amazing how green the fields have become in just a few short weeks.

The cherry tree is blossoming.  Looks like if we are quick before the birds claim them there may be some fruit for us :)!  One can hope.

The pink charm daffodils appear to be joyful that the sun is shining...

and those Virginia Bluebells chime right in as well.

Looks like this may have been a bit of a long walk for this one.  I think she is ready to relax and take a little nap.  Maybe I will join her.

Have a wonderful week.  Pray you are safe if the winds and storms come your way.

Hugs!  Debbie

"A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.  Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion.  The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"  He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!  Then the wind died down and it was completely calm."  Mark 4:37-39 (NIV)

  2. Can you eat the cherries from the cherry tree? I remember eating plums off of my uncle's tree in his front yard. They were bittery sweet, but when you're a kid, you love them in the summer. Looks like everything is blossoming in your area. Those pink blossom trees are so pretty. I'm glad you got so much rain. We had another snow!

    Have a wonderful week, Debbie.

  4. We have also been having weather that is quite windy and very rainy. I think our April was the wettest on record, but everything has been well-watered and is in full bloom. I love going out and seeing all the trees in their glory. God was very generous with giving us beauty to enjoy. Have a good week!!

  7. A beautiful stroll around your place. April across the pond is matching yours so far. Today I am enjoying the blue skies and seeing the garden springing to life. I don't mind the rain too much but I am so over mud this year! I can't wait to dry out a bit. Wishing you more sunshine.

  8. Actual hot weather for a few days - 80+ temps each day; now some cooler weather that feels cold compared to the 80+ temps! I think our weather is very similar. Our redbud bloomed out last week and then we had a few days of rain and now it’s almost all gone, but the birds are chirping in the trees and we have the cutest little squirrel who comes to eat peanuts from our outside “bird feeder” table :). Spring is good! Thanks for sharing and hope you continue to see beauty all around. RHCarpenter (Rhonda)

  9. I love all your pretty discoveries on your walks. It must be such a joy to find spring flowers after Ohio's cold winters. Hope you have many more such discoveries.
