Visitors

We have had some  visitors here at Harmony Hills this past week.

Mr. Blue Jay is frequently seen visiting the bird feeder.

Mrs. Squirrel is also making a daily stop.  Her lively acrobatics is always entertainment at its best.

In fact these two do not seem the least bothered that each other is near. So glad they don't mind sharing.

Meanwhile this duo keeps watch for any critters that might not be welcome visitors.

Well we are all so happy you stopped by to visit us.

Here is hoping you have a great week and enjoy a few visitors as well.

"Under His Wings"

Overnight the fog rolled in.

It made the familiar seem less clear

and a bit eerie.

Everything seemed to wear a blanket of gray blue.

Then like a big bird stretching its incredible pink wings God brought the dawn.

Light began to drive away the shadows and a sunny day was born.

Sometimes in life one will stumble in the mist of shrouded fog and lose their way.  Yet if in "looking up" we can catch a glimpse of His Glory hope will find us safe beneath His wings.

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;" Psalm 91:4

Have a wonderful week dear friends.
Hugs!  Debbie

Restful

I love a day that is restful.   It gives one time to reflect...

sniff out an unfamiliar scent...

Imagine what you would see from this viewpoint...

or this one...

and even finish a forgotten painting.

So glad you stopped by.

Hope you will share what you do with a  restful day.  Have a lovely week.

Hugs Debbie

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.   Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  Matt. 11: 28-30 (NIV)

Hope - My Perfect Word

This year "Hope" became my perfect word.

In a previous post written January 13, 2013 I shared author Debbie Macomber's practice of selecting a special word for the new year.

"Kindness" was going to be mine but "Hope" kept appearing in a variety of ways and means.   Apparently this was to be my selection.

Webster's Thesaurus describes "Hope" as  anticipation, aspiration, assurance, belief, desire, expectancy, expectation, confidence, faith, optimism, prospect, trust.

Legendary positive thinker Norman Vincent Peale wrote an article in 1987 "Let Hope Light Your Way".

He pointed out that wishing and hope are not the same thing.   Wishing differs in the fact that often when one wishes for something they do not believe it will come to be.   Whereas "hope" holds that special ingredient - expectancy.  It says that the desired outcome can happen.

The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 5:4 "And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."

Friends it is my "hope" that no matter what difficult circumstances and challenges each of us may be facing - we will come through - we will emerge stronger - we will be filled with hope for a blessed 2017.

Hugs Debbie

It is the time of the year when I begin to sow seeds for the coming season.  Discovered a different method on You Tube...they call it "...
