Birds of the Air

"Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them."   Matt: 6:26

Junco or Snow Bird
When the snow covers the ground they come...

They know there will be food here...

Tufted Titmouse
 No reason to worry...

          there is plenty for everyone.

Hope you will take a moment to look up and enjoy the birds of the air.   Have a wonderful week!

  1. Happy Sunday Debbie! I love this time of year and the music that is everywhere! We have the same birds and Guy loves to watch them out the window. So peaceful with the snow...

  2. Evening Debbie, This is just precious! Maybe it's a sign of getting older, but I love to watch nature...including the birds! Which reminds me, I need food for my feeder! The street where we are moving has a lot of established trees and a professional artistic tree carver. Over the past few years, some owners have lost trees and I noticed beautiful carvings little by little on these tree trunks....made into giant squirrels, bears, eagles etc. They are breathtaking!!! This is a small street and how it gives it such uniqueness!! I will blog about these in the near future.....you will love this! Blessings my friend.stay warm~~~Roxie And...I love the bible scripture!!

  6. I feed them year round, but I think they are especially grateful when it is icy and cold.

  7. Like Donna, I feed them year round too, although I've noticed they eat much more in the winter. Food is very hard for wild creatures to find here in the winter. I love your sketch of a chickadee!

    Blessings,
    Victoria

  16. Great sketches of the birds and the verse goes so well with them. Thank you for sharing your view of the world.

Did you get any snow? We had a bit by the time I went to bed yesterday, but luckily it was only on the cars and grass when I woke up. It had melted on the roads. Enjoy your evening!

  19. Beautiful and sensitive post, Debbie. Your sketch book is a treasure and the photos so beautiful.
Wish we could have the same guarantee of food for the less fortunate. We do our best but some slip through the cracks and the only thing we can do is pray for them.
