Decoration Day

Hubby reminded me that many years ago Memorial Day was once called Decoration Day.  It became a federal holiday in 1971. Tomorrow in America we will be celebrating this special holiday.  It continues to be a time that one can stop and remember all those who gave their lives for our freedom. May everyone have a blessed week. God Bless  Debbie

Garden Days

This week has been filled with garden days. Yellow day lilies have opened bringing cheer. Lavender Rhododendron started its lovely show (gift from hubby's mom thirty two years ago for our 10th wedding anniversary)... this pink beauty was found at a local greenhouse (I just could not resist )... impatiens are a necessity for a shady nook... and of course one could not forget a few colorful annuals for the flower cart. I adore garden days!  Hope you enjoyed them as well. Have a lovely week. Hugs Debbie "Consider   how   the lilies grow.  They do not labor or spin."  Luke 12:27 a    (NIV)

I am wishing all my blogging buddies who are Mom's a lovely Mother's Day.   To everyone     have a blessed week. Hugs Debbie "  ... do not forsake your mother's teaching."  Prov. 1:8 b (NIV)

Shelby and Schindler kept a careful watch to make certain he was fine. I got busy and bottled up some spring...Dandelion/Rhubarb Jelly.   When winter arrives this delicious treat will be a great reminder of the early days of May.  (Might not last that long - lol)! To finish... saved the best til last... Hubby built this special flower cart with his own two hands.  Me thinks he is a "keeper" for sure! Well I hope everyone enjoyed their visit this week.   If the rest of the month remains this full - May will fly by fast.  Let's make a plan to sa
