...came in like a lion...

March came in "like a lion"...

Is she leaving us "like a lamb"?  Not necessarily - it is a high of 33 degrees today and spitting snow.  Still I am hearing the robins ...seeing the crocus blooming and finding inspiration.

April Fool's arrives tomorrow.   Hope she fools us with a bit of warmer weather.

Have a wonderful week.

First Day of Spring

A full moon welcomed the first day of spring.

When I went out in the early morning for my walk  this lovely light lit up the dark side of the sky.

In a few moments a  beautiful design appeared.

Then as the dawn waved to the last of the night spring arrived.

So glad you stopped to see the beginning of a new season.

Have a blessed week.

Celebrate

Today many will celebrate St. Patrick's Day.   I am celebrating that it is only three days until
spring arrives!  Hope everyone has a lovely holiday and wonderful week.  See you in the spring!

"They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness."   Psalm 145:7 (NIV)

Waiting

Like this little fella I am waiting for spring.  Hoping that we will soon be turning the corner and seeing warmer days ahead.

In the meantime I am painting spring dreams.   When March arrives I begin imagining what will soon be blooming in the garden.   Where winters seem long and harsh one is challenged in the art of patience.  Yesterday I caught sight of some snowdrops bravely pushing their way out of a blanket of last season's debris.  Friends that is a sure sign spring is on its way.

Are any of you waiting for spring?   If so maybe you will share what you are doing until it arrives.

Have a blessed week.

Hugs Debbie

P.S. these winter photos were taken last Tuesday- since then our snow has disappeared.

Spans the years

This sketch journal spans the years.   Thirteen to be exact.

The first entry was made March 20th, 2006...the final one February 28th, 2019.

Obviously it was not kept with regularity.

Sometimes days, weeks, and even months would pass before something was added.

Although the journal itself was not of the best quality I loved it for the fact that one page was blank and the other lined.

Not only was art happening within this book but thoughts and ideas were being recorded.

It holds memories that I am thankful got written down.  A lot of life happens over a span of thirteen years.   This journal/sketchbook serves as a reminder that whether one is drawing or writing there is meaning to be found in keeping a record.

Thank you for letting me share some pages from my life.

Have a blessed week.

Hugs Debbie

Sow

It is the time of the year when I begin to sow seeds for the coming season.  Discovered a different method on You Tube...they call it "...
