He has risen!

Thursday we broke bread and shared the cup...

Friday we watched and wept...

Saturday we waited...

Sunday came and we rejoiced!

On the first day of the week very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.  They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus...
two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them...
the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here; he has risen!
Luke 24: 1 -6 (NIV)

May all of you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday!

"See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.

Flowers appear on the earth;

the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land."  Song of Songs 2:11-12 (NIV)

Dear Friends wishing everyone a wonderful beginning to spring and a blessed Holy Week.

Hidden Treasure

Hidden Bird's Nest

I almost missed this hidden treasure.   A bird's nest that somehow survived  winter's bluster.
It was creatively weaved together with small twigs and bits of mud.

The thought of one of God's small creatures building this sanctuary with such tender care made me stop and pause.

Wisely it had been built in the center of some thorny brambles.   Predators would have found it quite difficult to harm the occupants of this home.
Isn't it amazing how even the birds have been given wisdom to know how to create a safe place to nest?

Speaking of hidden treasure...think the little Leprechaun may be coming around this week.

Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

..the moon

"When I consider your heavens,  the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars,

which you have set in place,

what is man that you are mindful of him,

the son of man that you care for him?...

O Lord, our Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth!"

Psalm 8: 3-4; 9 (NIV)

May everyone have a blessed week.
