Smile

Hope this little one makes you smile.  I did.  A thief he may be but certainly a cute one.

Let me know if you have something that is making you smile this week.  Have a blessed one.

First Frost

This weekend brought us our first frost of the season.

The calendar may not show that fall has arrived but the white ground says autumn is here.

This brave sunflower is holding on hoping for a few more summer days.  Likewise the tomatoes in the background need a bit more heat to ripen.

A frosty morning may be lovely but am hoping that warmer days will return and grant us a bit of reprieve.

To my way of thinking summertime is never long enough.  So I am off to enjoy the last moments of the season.

See you all in the fall!

Have a blessed week.

Be Kind

Prayer Journal For September

The title of my prayer journal this month is "Be  Kind".

I have even spotted certain signs along the road  that remind one to practice this virtue.

What an appropriate message for the present time we are living.

Like tiny seeds that started these morning glories traveling through out the garden; so it is with a small seed of kindness sown into someone's life.

It can grow and encompass others.

Possibly even reaching farther afield than where one lives.

Just maybe one kind act could make a difference in our community, our nation, and our world.

My prayer is that each of you will encounter a bit of kindness this week and  pass it on.

Dusk

In September dusk begins to arrive early.

The crickets start to sing .  They make one want to stop and linger - to savor this peaceful time...

To gather a few veggies for tomorrow's meal...

and enjoy the view before dark claims the end of the day.

Yes mornings are wonderful but just before nightfall is lovely too.  Hope all of you have a blessed week.

This certainly has to be my favorite season of the year.  I do adore autumn but spring takes the prize. As hubby commented spring is the be...
